Why you should protect yourself from light

I live in a flat at the top floor of my building. There's a window in the roof right over my bed. Since I don't like waking up at the same time as the sun (especially during the summer), I use a t-shirt to cover it. The t-shirt has now spent approximately 6 months under the sun. The pictures below show what both sides look like now. I think I'll put sunscreen on next time I'm going on holiday...

Sights from the Sacré Coeur

Here are the pics I took while visiting Montmartre and the Basilica of Sacré Coeur with the team yesterday.

As it turned out, I had never climbed to the building's top. The view from up there is simply stunning, probably the best view one can get from Paris ever (it beats both the Tour Montparnasse and the Eiffel tower in my opinion). The weather was great, sunny with a couple clouds around 7pm, the combination of which gave an awesome light.

I think I just found my new recommendation for tourists visiting Paris in a hurry :-)

Preparing for the BBQ

On Thursday Vincent & I went buying food for the whole team. I'm posting the picture to give Vincent's wife a proof that yes, he can do it !!

Vincent had admitted to me earlier that day that it was the first time he went shopping for food in months :-)

Getting back to work

I came back to work on monday morning after 2 awesome holiday weeks. We started the week by a breakfast under the sun (during with I trapped a wasp in a glass of orange juice). We went on with a team meeting followed by a paintball game. You can see me discussing with Thomas (one of our project managers) and Anca (one of our developers).

On tuesday I took a couple refreshing naps (I'll find the photographer and duly retaliate, I promise!) and got a nice paperboard artwork collaboratively created for me by the team. All in all, not that bad for a week back to work :-)
